Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information when you interact with our website:

Personal Information:

  • We may collect personal information you voluntarily provide, such as your name, email address, postal address, phone number, mobile number, geographic location, and any other information you submit through our website’s forms. This may include demographic information like gender, date of birth, occupation, employer name, and zip code. In limited circumstances, we may collect payment information, such as credit card number, where needed to complete a requested service or transaction.

Text Messaging Opt-In Data:

  • If you choose to opt-in to receive text messages from us, we may collect your phone number, your carrier’s name, the date, time, and content of your messages, and other related data required for text messaging services.

Automatically Collected Information:

  • When you visit our website, we may automatically collect information about your device, browser, and usage patterns, including IP addresses, web pages visited before and after the Site, date and time, domain type, type of mobile device, device’s unique ID, web pages viewed, links clicked within the Site, interactions with our or third-party advertisements, and data collected via cookies, pixels, or other tracking technologies. An IP address is a unique identifier that devices use to communicate on the Internet, helping us determine the general physical location of the device and understand the regions from which our visitors come.

All Site users remain anonymous unless they choose to provide personal information. You may opt out of allowing us to collect and use non-personally identifiable data by following the Opt-Out procedures described below.

Cookies and Other Technologies

Overview: We may use cookies and other technologies, such as pixels, to obtain information when your web browser accesses the Site or visits a website in our network. Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser to improve your experience on the Site. If you wish to block, erase, or be warned of cookies, refer to the Disabling Cookies section below or your browser manufacturer. When you view a video on our Sites, a third party may set a ‘flash cookie’ on your computer. To delete or disable flash cookies, visit http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/security, as rejecting browser cookies may not affect flash cookies. Rejecting or removing cookies may impact certain Site features.

This website uses Google Analytics, which employs cookies to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behavior in an anonymous form. The information, including IP addresses, is transmitted to Google to evaluate website use and compile statistical reports for Janine for Brooklyn. Google Analytics does not associate your IP address with other data held by Google, nor do we link it with personally identifiable information unless you explicitly submit it via a form. It reports trends without identifying individual visitors. To opt out of Google Analytics tracking, visit the Google opt-out page.

We may use other companies to set cookies, operate web servers, or process credit card purchases for the Site. Cookies and other technologies help speed navigation, track items, and gather anonymous traffic data to enhance the Site, our Services, marketing, and other internal purposes. If you select ‘remember me’ when logging on, Janine for Brooklyn will set a persistent cookie to store your username and password, facilitating confirmations, receipts, updates, alerts, and administrative messages. This cookie also tracks user interests to enhance the Site experience and is removed when you uncheck the ‘remember me’ checkbox.

Disabling Cookies: The ‘Help’ portion of most browsers explains how to prevent accepting cookies, receive notifications for cookies, or disable them entirely. Note that rejecting or blocking cookies may limit the Site’s full functionality and experience.

Web Beacons: Pages of the Site and our e-mails may contain web beacons (also known as clear gifs, pixel tags, or single-pixel gifs) that allow Janine for Brooklyn to count users visiting pages, opening e-mails, or to record website content popularity and verify system and server integrity.

Use of Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Communicate with you, respond to inquiries, and provide campaign-related information, updates, newsletters, and other materials.
  • Send campaign-related text messages and updates to those who opt-in to our text messaging services, using phone numbers and related data solely for this purpose.
  • Analyze and improve the website’s performance, content, and user experience.
